Overview

BVS Notes ("the Extension") is developed by BVS Dijital. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

BVS Notes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Specifically:

• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
• We do not sell or share any user data

Data Storage

Your notes are stored in two locations:

• Local browser storage: Notes are saved using Chrome's built-in storage API on your device.
• Google Drive: If you enable sync, notes are saved to a "QuickNotes" folder in your personal Google Drive account.

Chrome Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each for a specific functional purpose:

• identity — Obtain a Google OAuth token so the Extension can sync your notes to your own Google Drive. Used only when you press “Sign in with Google”, and for silent token refresh afterwards. No identity information is sent anywhere else.
• storage — Save your notes and folders locally in Chrome’s own storage on your device, so they are available when you reopen the popup. This is where your notes live when sync is not enabled.
• alarms — Run a background sync every 30 minutes: any note not yet uploaded is written to your Drive folder, even while the popup is closed. The sync reads only the Extension’s own stored notes; it does not access any browsing data.

The Extension requests no host permissions and no access to your browsing activity, tabs, or history.

Google Drive Access

BVS Notes requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope only. This is Google’s most restricted Drive scope: the Extension can see and modify only the files it creates itself, inside a folder named “QuickNotes” in your own Drive. It cannot read, list, modify or delete any other file in your Drive, and it never requests a broader scope. Your notes remain in your own Google account — they are never sent to a BVS server.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used is Google Drive API for cloud synchronization. Google's privacy policy applies to data stored in Google Drive.
